Personal stories speak louder than statistics.
All NSCA chaplains have much to be written about, along with their evidence-based outcomes in the schools. However; for this brief article, New York resident, Chaplain Linda Darin is featured as the newest graduate
Prior to enrolling in the NSCA Academy, Linda’s journey was full of experience.
Linda entered nursing in 1982 and continues as a part-time school nurse. It’s common knowledge that many students have lots of emotional issues and take lots of medications; yet there remains a void.
(There is a noticeable difference in resilience when faith is a part of life. For instance, believers in Jesus generally demonstrate strong coping skills, respect for others, peace, joy and hope for the future.)
Linda went to pastoral counseling school and to social work school. Both included addiction internships.
She worked at Breezmont Camp for two summers in Armonk. The children were desperate for attention.
Self-employed counselor since 2009. Experienced in business, patient care and instructional leadership.
Published Author & Podcaster featuring her book titled: Can God Trust You?
Coming to Chaplaincy: Linda heard about National School Chaplains Association while watching the Mike Huckabee Show interview with Rocky Malloy, NSCA Founder/CEO. She was deeply inspired to enroll in the NSCA Chaplain Academy.
She brings 40 years experience guiding individuals toward emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
Modus operandi: Linda Darin meets people where they are and helps them weather storms. Self-discovery and relationship with self and others; without proselytizing or coercion —she serves according to individual needs; those voluntary asking for help.
Growth is spreading across America and you can participate in building something transformative for a more productive, peaceful, joyful and stable society.
